Zelda T-Shirt: +30 Nerd Cred

Dorkly.com is one of the many geek/dork/nerd blogs I subscribe to and actually read. Well today they posted up an article titled 7 Real Life Items and Their Stats that hits home for me. Yes, I own a several toy lightsabers and one of the expensive ForceFX sabers. This is what caught my attention:

Ok, big deal. Its a Zelda shirt. Well the Zelda shirt in the picture is the first video game shirt I ever bought and it started my awesome video game t-shirt collecting. I own like 4 Zelda shirts, a Zelda track jacket and a Hyrule hoodie so I must have +302 nerd cred. I don’t care about the -10 girlfriend… I’m married and she buys me the stuff!

Geek Shirt Thursday: Soul Mates

I’ve been a fan of Lord of the Rings since before the movies were announced. I was definitely excited when Shirt.Woot.com released this shirt. I haven’t seen many other LOTR shirts, but this one is definitely my favorite. I love seeing the purely evil Sauron and the Ring depicted as a small somewhat innocent creatures.

Geek Shirt Thursday: Bridges and Boxleitner

I have to admit, this is probably the most clever shirt I own. Obviously it’s a fun copy of the Harley Davidson Logo. Lets face it. I’m probably the last person you’d ever see wearing H.D. apparel and look tough. I’d totally rock a light cycle though.

Geek Shirt Thursday! Think Geek R2D2 Scrap Metal

I love Thursdays! I’m proudly wearing my Scrap Metal R2D2 shirt that I purchased from Think Geek. Star Wars shirts always get a lot of praise at my work. I got this shirt by luck from Think Geek for only $6! They had a random shirt sale and I ordered three. I was very satisfied with two of the three so I feel like I won out big time.

The ThinkGeek Work Shirt

I kinda have this thing going at work where I wear a geek and video game shirts. I try to balance it to remain somewhat professional. Thursdays are geek shirts and Fridays are video game shirts. I’d say I almost have a following at work.

Most of my shirts have interesting stories behind them that I will share here. Some are really awkward situations I’ve been in while wearing them and others are the ways I acquired them. I’ll try to keep to the point on the posts and include pictures but I’m still working on getting this blog up and running 100%.

Rocking my ThinkGeek work shirt today. It can be found here.

I’ve gotten a lot of compliments and laughs out of the shirt. I love it. I’ve always been a fan of the Dickies style work shirts and jackets. I’d add a patch to it if I get one that would properly match. I’d have to say that this is my favorite geek shirt…. even though I’ve been asked multiple times “How much is unleaded” while wearing it.
